The territory of the Community of Communes of Noeux and the Surrounding Area (CCNE) is ideal for fishing, a pastime that combines nature, serenity, relaxation and a level of skill. The most sought after fishing spots are the lake in Fleury park, rue du Marais in Fouquereuil and Léo Lagrange lake in Labourse.
The CCNE offers numerous points that are also perfect for a picnic in the countryside. Apart from Fleury park in Fouquereuil and the banks of Léo Lagrange lake in Labourse, which are prized by fishing lovers the spoil heap at Cuisse Maraune in Fouquereuil, the adapted heap in Labourse, the water sports centre in Noeux-les-Mines may be cited as a few examples.
The Artesien Radio-Controlled Car Club (CARCA) has been at Noeux-les-Mines since 1988 (Le Club Automobile Radio Commandée Artésien). Several national awards have vindicated the Club's ambitions and the club has a dirt track of 290 metres by 4 metres. Over the years it has come to specialise in the 1/8 all-terrain category. While the track is reserved for the Club’s 125 members, you can always attend races as a spectator - it is very much a live event!
You can book a horse-drawn carriage leaving from Drouvin-le-Marais for the trip or to give your event a personal touch (wedding, anniversary, etc.). Several types of carriages are available (chariot, 8-seater wagon, closed coupé, Victoria carriage) and the cost of the rides is around €10 per person.

4 looped rambling routes with different themes and levels have been open to keen ramblers since 2007. They are part of a coherent whole that presents a gradual approach to the mine. The routes have different characteristics: wild nature and water, village hearts, urban and mining route, family fun, etc.
You really should visit the communes of Vaudricourt and Drouvin-le-Marais along the 7km route. It gives you the chance to cross vast expanses of fields, that are the traditional landscape of Northern France, as well as the heart of these villages.
8 kilometres; this route goes through Fouquereuil and Fouquières-lez-Béthune.
It is shown by the colours blue and green. Water is present along the whole route and it is the relatively rough nature that lends it character.
This path in Labourse offers a short circuit of 4.5 kilometres that combines an introduction to the commune and its spoil heaps with the possibility of taking a break on the sports course or perhaps stopping to enjoy the lake and its picnic area. An ideal family walkabout.
This loop retraces the main stages of the mining reconversion in Noeux-les-Mines.
